An Open Letter to all Veterans in Winnipeg
To all Canadian Armed Forces War Veterans in Winnipeg:
We are pleased to honour all Canadian Armed Forces War Veterans by providing a complimentary meal to veterans and their spouses this Remembrance Day, Wednesday, November 11th . We also mark Indigenous Veterans Day held on November 8, 2020 and would like to say a special thank you to all Indigenous Veterans.
President Dean Herkert of Toba Centric is a Métis Nation citizen with over 20 years of hospitality experience. He has a vision to open up a Bistro that will provide a place where people can enjoy great meals together – local, ethically or sustainably sourced dishes. The Grand Opening of Bistro on Notre Dame (BoND) will be Saturday, November 14th .
In the spirit of community and caring for our Elders across Manitoba, who are particularly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the spirit of reconciliation, a partnership between the BoND and the Manitoba Metis Federation has been formed to celebrate and honour all Veterans in Manitoba.
BoND opens its doors this week, starting with a celebration and honouring of all Canadian Armed Forces War Veterans who have endured much greater adversity than the current COVID- 19 pandemic, for the benefit of all. We will honour Veterans by offering a free meal. BoND will prepare the meals and will deliver the meals to Winnipeg Veterans and their spouses on November 11th between Noon and 7 p.m.
Please spread the word to all Veterans and their spouses! Every effort will be made to deliver a meal to every Veteran in Winnipeg who reaches out, while supplies are available.
Please complete the enclosed order form by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11th at 10:00 a.m. and email it to: email@example.com
Orders can also be placed by calling BoND at 204-691-1515.
